Fried Egg Paper Craft

Hey, guys! Today we have an awesome activity. We’re going to make breakfast for Mommy. It doesn’t matter that the “Fried Egg Paper Craft” isn’t real or edible. It’s so nice to know that someone took care of you, didn’t forget about you, and looked after you. And this is just the beginning. Today it’s pretend food, but tomorrow it’ll be the real thing. The most important thing is to choose the right path, and the skills will gradually come. Let’s not waste any time and get started!

Please prepare the following materials for the lesson:

  • colored paper;
  • a regular pencil;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

We have prepared a simple frying pan template for you, and even two versions. One is larger, suitable for younger children who may find it difficult to work with smaller elements. The other one is smaller and more compact. Just click on the image, save it, and you’re all set for printing.

We’ve already cut out the little frying pan. It looks just like a real one – black, probably made of cast iron. But ours is made of sturdy cardboard. In this case, the craft doesn’t bend, and you can safely pick it up, move it around, and play with it.

Let’s imagine we have eggs. We crack them open, and what appears first? The egg white. It’s transparent and viscous. But as soon as it hits a hot surface, it quickly turns white. Cut out a random shape from a white sheet of paper. The size should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the pan. Our shape resembles a cute blob.

Next comes the yolk. A bright yellow paper heart snugly occupies the center.

Since we’ll be serving breakfast in the same pan we cooked it in, let’s decorate the little frying pan a bit. We’ll glue a small bow with a heart-shaped center onto the handle. It will make it much more festive, don’t you think?
